    In 1864 it became the home of Gideon Carrie and his family and was named, "Huntleyburn Farm", and remained in the Carrie family, with George Carrie and his sister Violet, being the owners as long as they lived. In 1959 .iillard Hailman purchased the farm from the George Carrie estate, taking the timber out of the bush and the following year sold the land to Linton Anderson.     4 . (Farms) S I Lot 2 Concession 6. Sydenham Township Information was obtained from the Registry Office, Owen Sound and Linton Anderson, and compiled by Marion Martin, November 197k. In 1921 George Carrie bought the farm and used the land for mixed farming. In 1960 Linton Anderson bought the farm and uses it for mixed farming.

In 1907 John and 1"alcolm Mcachern took it from the Crown and in 1910 it was transferred to Malcolm Mcachern from the John Ncachern estate. 0n February 28, 1986 John D. Heasman and his wife, Joan M, sold the property to .Sjlliam Hugh Rich and Mary Agnes (Bowes) Rich.

    In June 1889 Alexander :c.Lean again purchased the farm from Stephen Breeze, and it has remained in the Nc.Lean family ever since. Clarence Mc.Lean,son of Alexander Nc.Lean bought the farm in 1931.. March 1985 Mrs. McLean listed her farm with a realtor and it was sold to Glen and Brenda Fortier.
