It's a Party! World Celebrations March 12-16, 2012
Monday: Happy New Year!
We'll be ringing in the New Year all day long by exploring different cultures and the start of their new year.
Tuesday: Hullo Guv'nor
In anticipation of the 2012 summer exhibit Sherlock Holmes and the Clocktower Mystery we will explore celebrations from the United Kingdom including St. Patrick's Day, May Day, the Highland Games and so many more! Caution: rolling cheese may be involved.
Wednesday: The Seasons of Our Lives
Seasonal festivals happen everywhere around the world. Join us as we celebrate Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter in many unique and sometimes strange ways.
Thursday: We say Thanksgiving, You Say ...
Learn about how cultures around the world celebrate the harvest. Be prepared for flying popcorn and tug o'war!
Friday: Trick or Treat!
Experience the world variations of Hallowe'en from the one you know to Mexico's All Soul's Day to Germany's Martinisingen. Don't forget your costume!
What you need to know
KidsCamp Participants: Ages 5 to 12
Hours: Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Early drop off, 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., is available at an added cost of $2. Drop off between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. and pick up between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. are no charge. Extended care is not available beyond 5 p.m.
Cost: One Participant $125/child (plus applicable taxes)
Museum Members $110/child (plus applicable taxes)
Preference given to week long registrations until March 1, individual days may be booked after this date dependent upon availability and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Prices for individual days are $27.50 or $25.00 for members (plus applicable taxes).
