Adult to Student Ratios
The teacher as well as one parent-helper per 6 children are required to accompany each class and are admitted at no charge.
Rates
Rates for the educational programs cover only a part of the Interpretative program's cost. Unless otherwise stated, the fee per student is $5.00 (plus HST) per program. Please check specific programs for maximum number. All programs must have, or pay for, a minimum of 15 students. Teachers and EA's are free. One parent helper is free for every six students. Adults over this ratio will be required to pay an adult admission fee of $6.00 (plus HST). These terms also apply to groups which are self-guided. How do we pay for our visit?
Fees may be paid prior to your visit or upon arrival. We accept cash, cheque, VISA, MasterCard or debit. We also offer invoicing options for schools.
How many students can participate a program?
To ensure that students get the most out of their visit we strongly encourage the maximum and minimum numbers as set out for each specific program. Some programs are able to accommodate more students, depending on the activities that are included in the program. Please see our Teacher's Guide or our online program descriptions for the maximum and minimum numbers.
Time of Programs
School programming is offered during regular school hours, Monday to Friday in morning and afternoon sessions. These times are flexible to meet your needs. You may view the Program Schedule.
Class Preparation
We strongly recommend that you prepare your class for the visit beforehand. Talk about proper behaviour in a museum and give an introduction to the topic you will be exploring. If you require assistance or more information, please let us know.
