LEGO®: Secrets of the Pharaohs
Offered from May 19 to June 25, 2008.
Everyone is fascinated with ancient Egypt and the engineering marvels that this civilization accomplished. Explore treasures, peek inside secret caverns, and build your own wonder of the world through this one-of-a-kind LEGO® exhibit.
Imagine a pyramid, a life-sized sarcophagus, a re-creation of Tutankhamen’s mask - all made entirely from hundreds of thousands of LEGO® bricks! Come discover the beauty and wonder of this lost world or challenge yourself to build your own version of Egypt.
Students, from kindergarten to Grade 12, are in for a real treat! Each visiting class will view a film appropriate to their grade level in our Grey Roots Theatre; they will tour through the interactive hands-on exhibit; and they will make a themed craft to take home. As well each student will take home a Make & Take LEGO® sphinx project as a reminder of their visit. (There is an additional charge of $1 per child for this building set.)
