Blue Mountain Resort IS NOW OPEN! Mother Nature has pulled through with an early blast of winter! Cooler temperatures and the help of a dedicated snowmaking team have allowed Blue Mountain to open with limited ski and snowboard terrain. View Media Release. The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs has issued the following warning: 
No Snowmobiling Warning from OSFC District 9:
The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs is warning everyone to avoid riding a snowmobile at this time. No OFSC District 9 trails are open, nothing is frozen and conditions everywhere are totally unsafe for riding, so please leave the sleds parked. Check their website for trail updates.
